As a Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, we, at Blue Knights GA, VI encourage everybody, just not members, to take a look at these Motorcycle Safety Foundation documents about motorcycle safety.  There’s even a specific one for car and truck drivers about motorcycles.

• Ten Things All Car & Truck Drivers Should Know About Motorcycles: Tips for drivers of cars and trucks about motorcycles and why they can do the things they are able to do.

• General Guidlines For Riding A Motorcycle Safely: Be visible, dress for safety, effective mental strategies and know your bike are the basic topics.

• So You Want To Take A Passenger? : If you’ve never taken a passenger with you here are the tips for doing so safely.  If you have taken passengers it can be a good review.  There’s also preparation tips for the first time passenger.

• Riding In A Group: Tips to help ensure a fun and safe group ride.

• Motorcycle Inspection: The T-CLOCS Inspection (Tires, Controls, Lights, Oil, Chassis & Stands) to perform before every ride.  Beleive it or not you may already be doing most, if not all of these.

• Alcohol Awareness: Obviously you should never drink and ride.

• Preventing Motorcycle Theft: Basic tips to help avoid becoming a victim of motorcycle theft.
